According to THR, Chris Evans is one step closer to landing the much sought after role of “Captain America”.
Sources say the actor has been officially offered the role. Marvel has not confirmed the development and the actor’s rep declined to comment. The offer includes starring roles in up to three “America” movies plus “The Avengers” movies and appearances in other Marvel movies.
This doesn’t necessarily mean he will accept the offer though. He is already committed to shoot “What’s Your Number?” which is scheduled to begin this summer as well.
As we confirmed last month, “Captain America” will be filming at Shepperton Studios in London this July.
Currently, Chris is filming Puncture in Houston.
Update: EW is now reporting he accepted the offer but some other sources are still saying its not a done deal, yet.
