The stars shine at ShoWest in Vegas

ShoWest, the annual convention of U.S. theater owners, wrapped up last Thursday in Las Vegas. The event gives theater owners a chance to see all of this year’s hottest gadgets, snacks and, of course, movies.

The con is usually a star-studded affair too. This year, the ladies of Sex and the City 2,Vanessa Hudgens, Katherine Heigl (who had a wardrobe malfunction) and Amanda Seyfried were all on hand to accept honors at the closing night awards ceremony.

During the week, Chace Crawford also stopped by with his upcoming film, Twelve, while Jennifer Lopez was there with her film The Back-Up Plan and Neil Patrick Harris joined Vanessa Hudgens and Alex Pettyfer to introduce their new movie, Beastly. Even Will Smith’s son Jaden was there to accept the award for Breakthrough Male Star of the Year Award for his role in the upcoming remake of The Karate Kid.

If you want to attend next year and see all of the stars for yourself, its not too early to begin planning, just don’t expect to find online reservations for ShoWest since the trade show will have a new name a new venue in 2011. The Vegas-based convention will move to Caesars Palace and will now be called CinemaCon. Its expected to be held in late March, early April, but no definite date has been announced.
