Film crews were forced to flee the U.K. set of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows friday after a fire destroyed “Hogwart’s Castle”, causing damages estimated at £100,000. The accident happened after a special-effects explosion went wrong during the filming of a battle which marks the final scenes of film.
According to The Daily Mail, “The ‘Battle of Hogwarts’ scenes involve Harry – played by Daniel Radcliffe – raising an army of students to defend the school from an attack by evil wizard Voldemort. Watford fire brigade commander Tony Smith said: ‘There is a big battle scene involving a lot of pyrotechnics and explosions. There is a mocked-up castle made of timber, steel and plastic – somehow it caught alight.’”
Luckily no crew members were injured during the blaze.
Wizard did it.
Spoiler alert would be nice.
read much? this wouldn’t be a spoiler if you had read the book
Yes, obviously. But what if someone has not? That doesn’t mean they don’t “read much.” No need to be insulting.
Also, other sites and news sources that reported this did give spoiler alert warnings, assuming that the entire public has not necessarily read the book.
