Is there trouble on the New Mexico set of ‘Thor’?

According to Thor director Kenneth Branagh and one of the movie’s stars, Anthony Hopkins, the rumors of conflict between key cast and crew members are completely false. According to various sources, Hopkins (who plays Odin in the film) has had trouble working Branagh and the film’s star, Chris Hemsworth.

In a statement addressing the the rumors, Hopkins recently said, “I am having the time of my life making Thor with Ken and Chris,” he said in a statement. “They have made every day immensely fun and collaborative, and we’re all puzzled that someone would fabricate a story suggesting otherwise. I’m proud to say that Thor has been one of the great experiences of my career.” Branagh also chimed in, saying things were going, “very, very well.” He also gave an update on the status of the production, which is currently filming in New Mexico:

“We’re in New Mexico now where we have a contemporary Earth part of our story,” he said. “I guess we’re two-thirds of the way through the story and at this stage of the game what’s surprising and delighting me is the way the cast, the ensemble, has fused together. It’s kind of an interesting combination of very young and very experienced people and the double-up of that, it seems to me, is there is a lot of fire in the movie. It doesn’t take itself too seriously, it doesn’t try to be too solemn.”

Thor will move back to California to film a few mores scenes before they wrap next month. If you have any news or location information about Thor, let us know about it at olv@onlocations.com.
