Tom Cruise’s Beliefs May Deter Filming
Tom Cruise and Bryan Singer have been working on securing locations for a film about the attempted assassination of Adolf Hitler. Cruise is expected to play Count Claus Schenk von Stauffenberg, the officer who led the attempt. Cruise has been denied access to film at Germany’s military headquarters because the German Defense Minister feels that allowing Cruise to film in the building would seem like German recognition of Scientology. Cruise denies Scientology will have any effect on his filming in Germany.
LOTR Shout Out
Last night’s episode of The Flight of the Conchords on HBO featured a fictional showcase of countries from around the world including New Zealand. And Sure enough there was mention of Lord of the Rings and the set-jetters who tour the film’s locations. Set-Jetting has hit prime-time!
