Find out how you can help the stars of SATC help one of their own

The cast and crew of Sex and the City have come together to support of one of their own. One of the SATC crew member’s daughter, Minty, was diagnosed with a rare brain cancer (anaplastic ependymoma) in her first months of life. Python-like in her ability to eat so well, “Minty Python” has been a source of joy for her family and famous friends while battling this aggressive cancer for nearly a year.

A benefit to support Minty and organizations who aid babies and kids just like her will be held at Galapagos Art Space in DUMBO, Brooklyn on Saturday, May 1, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Guests will have a chance to enter several celeb auctions including a chance to win a dinner date with Cynthia Nixon, lunch with Kristin Davis, the chance to direct SJP in leaving a voicemail greeting as “Carrie Bradshaw,” the opportunity to take home Chris Noth’s Calvin Klein suit from the SATC premiere, lunch on the set of Bored to Death with Ted Danson, Jason Schwartzman and Zach Galifianakis or win a lunch date on the set of White Collar with Willie Garson.

Saturday night’s benefit will also also feature emcee Kevin Mark Harris (aka Georgia), performances by Luluc, Sarabeth Tucek and Andrew Wyatt, and an Ambio-visual environment provided by video artist Egor Panchenko.

As if that weren’t enough, there will also be several surprise celeb guests serving Minty Python cocktails.

Minty’s fashionable mom puts it well: “Minty has dimply knuckles, pudgy feet and a smile so pure and wide it lights up a universe. Not like so many babies she also has a BROVIAC®, G-tube and shunt, which can really mess up a cute outfit.”

A limited number of 100 tickets are available in upwards of $500.00 each and may be purchased online at www.mintypython.com.

Proceeds from the event and raffle will support Minty and two charitable organizations: Friends of Karen [www.friendsofkaren.org], which provides emotional, financial, and advocacy support for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families; and the Making Headway Foundation [www.makingheadway.org], which is dedicated to caring, comforting and curing children with brain and spinal cord tumors.

Even if you can’t attend the benefit, you can still show your support for Minty with a Paypal donation or by entering an online raffle.
