One of readers, James, sent us more exclusive photos and videos from the set of the Coen Brother’s True Grit filming on 4.28 & 4.29 in Granger, TX. Here’s what he had to say about his visit:
The Coen Bros. were on set as well as the famous cinematographer Roger Deakins who was setting up the camera shots. The lead star in True Grit , Hailee Steinfeld, who plays Mattie Ross, was also on set. Matt Damon, Jeff Bridges, and Josh Brolin will arrive some time next week. I learned today that the True Grit Granger set is costing $23,000 a minute to run and that 5,000 people tried out to be an extra but only 1,000 made it. The extras are arriving to set at 6 a.m.
