“The Crow” may begin shooting this summer in Detroit according to the upcoming film’s director, Stephen Norrington.
In a recent interview, Norrington said, “Part of the new story is set in Detroit and we’ve been discussing the logistics of shooting on location.” Alex Proyas’ film adaptation of “The Crow” also took place in Detroit during the backdrop of Devil’s Night, an annual Detroit tradition in which abandoned and derelict houses are burned.
Its possible this latest version of the “Crow” may also be filmed in Montreal thanks to more favorable tax incentives. “There are a lot of financial incentives pertaining to the visual effects to go to Montreal,” added Norrington. “So for now it’s an open question.”
Once again, Hollywood is proving that the writers are unoriginal. Another remake of a classic, another overpriced piece of crap.
Hollywood, you whore. Stop re-hacking good movies.
If you insist on re-hacking movies, at least limit yourself to the movies of the new millennium. Most all have sucked, take your pick, ruin away. Just leave classics and good flicks alone.
How can you remake a cult classic? Brandon Lee DIED while filming this movie. Can’t you show some f*cking respect for that? Can’t you show some respect to his and to the Crow fans by LEAVING WELL ENOUGH ALONE?! I for one, WILL NOT be watching this piece of sh*t when it comes out, and if anyone else has any sense about them, they will do the same! Shame on you James O’Barr and Stephen Norrington. I hope the movie BOMBS.
