My fellow U2 fans will recognize the man getting gunned down in the photo above as the band’s drummer, Larry Mullen Jr.
But there’s no reason to be alarmed, Larry was actually just shooting a movie in the small town of Orangeville, Ontario.
In the scene, for the movie Man On The Train, Larry’s character gets gunned down after robbing a bank. But, he’s in good company, the film also stars Canadian actors Donald Sutherland and Graham Greene.
The 48-year-old Dublin-born rocker is taking a break from his day job to make his acting debut in the movie, which is a remake of a 2002 French film about a gangster who develops a friendship with a retired poetry teacher (Sutherland) in a small town after he holds up the local bank.
While Larry is busy filming, his band mate Bono will be attending the NYC premiere of HBO’s The Lazarus Effect, which is being presented by (RED), at MOMA Tuesday night (5.4). You can find out more about this event and others in our Upcoming Filming Locations and Events Calendar.
