Filming to resume this summer on ‘Supernatural’, ‘Fringe’ and more in Vancouver

The streets of Vancouver will be filled with trucks and trailers again in a few weeks as most of the filmed-in-Vancouver series return to start work on shows for the upcoming fall season. Here’s a look at what’s returning and when they start filming:

Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki return to Vancouver on June 30th to begin filming Season 6 of Supernatural. The show is slated to continue shooting through March 31, 2011.

Two other CW series are set to film in Vancouver this summer too. Life Unexpected returns July 13th while the new series Hellcats, starring Ashley Tisdale,  will begin filming July 14.

Finally, Fringe is scheduled to begin filming on July 8, 2010 and continue through April 1, 2011.

In addition to these TV shows, the movie Red Riding Hood, starring Amanda Seyfried, begins shooting on July 21st and is expected to run through September 16. Rise of the Apes, starring James Franco, is also expected to begin filming in Vancouver on July 1- September 30.

Update: Smallville begins filming July 12th.
