Director Jon Favreau stopped by Comic-Con, along with Harrison Ford, Daniel Craig, Olivia Wilde and Sam Rockwell to unveil a first look at Cowboys and Aliens. Surprisingly, this was Ford’s first appearance at the Con and he made it memorable by arriving on stage in handcuffs.
During a separate interview with G4, Favreau gave a bit more detail about the project, what drew him to it, and why its not in 3D. He explains the plot by saying, “Its a guy who finds himself in the Old West, a man with no name, turns out, he had been abducted by Aliens and now the Aliens are invading and the Cowboys and Indians have to fight together to defeat the Aliens.” Check out the entire interview below:
They are currently still filming Cowboys and Aliens on a specially built set on the grounds of the Dar al Islam Mosque in Abiquiu, NM. Filming will continue through the end of the summer.
Finally, here’s a first look at Craig in the film too!
