Madonna’s been directing her first feature film, W.E. (which she also co-wrote), in the U.K. and France for more than a month. Now, according to a local casting call, the material girl is bringing the movie to NYC and will be filming in the city later this week. [Just Jared]

Bradley Cooper and Ryan Reynolds have signed on for a buddy-cop comedy. “The story follows two friends, who are also San Francisco cops, whose fathers were once partners on the police force. Angelina Jolie is going to star in a movie she also wrote and will direct about the Bosnian War. The Untitled Bosnian War Love Story will begin filming on location in Bosnia this fall. In what might be the strangest casting ever, Katie Holmes has signed on to play Adam Sandler’s wife in the upcoming movie Jack and Jill which starts shooting in October. In the movie Sandler plays two characters: family man, Jack, and his twin sister, Jill. No word on where it will filmed yet, though L.A. seems likely. [ew.com]

Colombiana, which shot several scenes in Chicago last week, is expected to continue filming in New Orleans and Mexico City this fall. In the film, Zoe Saldana plays a woman who witnessed her parents’ murder in Bogota as child and grows up to become a hitwoman by day who always has an eye on her ultimate target- the mobster responsible for her parents’ deaths.
