If you’re visiting Clearwater, FL this fall, don’t plan on visiting the aquarium.

On Friday (9.10) Clearwater Marine Aquarium will close for approximately two month to accommodate the filming of Dolphin Tale.

The movie is based on the true story of a dolphin named Winter who was rescued off the Florida coast and taken in by the aquarium.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film takes some liberties with the story and focuses on “a boy who befriends an injured dolphin who lost her tail in a crab trap. Through their bond and friendship, the boy motivates everyone around him to help save the dolphin by creating a prosthetic appendage to replace the dolphin’s tail. The marine mammal’s strong survival instincts become an inspiration to people with special needs throughout the world.”

Harry Connick Jr. has signed on to play the vet who rescues the mammal and brings her to the marine hospital he runs. Ashley Judd plays the boy’s mother and Morgan Freeman is a doctor who creates the prosthetic limb for Winter.

Dolphin Tale, which is also being shot in 3D, is expected to hit theaters next year.
