Moneyball, which has already shot at the Coliseum in Oakland, CA and Dodgers Stadium in L.A. will add Boston’s Fenway Park to it’s roster of locations next week.
The movie stars Brad Pitt as the Oakland Athletics General Manager Billy Beane who became famous for building a winning team with current Red Sox stats man Bill James, computer analytics and very little else.
Moneyball will shoot at Fenway on October 4-6. It is still unknown if Brad will definitely be at the taping or not, but his co-stars, Philip Seymour Hoffman, who plays A’s manager Art Howe and Chris Pratt, who plays basemen Scott Hatteberg, are expected to be there.
In other Beantown filming news, Katherine Heigl’s next flick, Adaline, is expected to shoot in Massachusetts next spring. The movie takes place at the turn of the 20th Century and tells the story of a young woman who is in an accident that renders her immortal. When she finally meets a guy years later they have to learn to deal with the fact that she will outlive him, and everyone else.
