The 46th annual Chicago International Film Festival, which kicks off tomorrow night (October 7) and runs through October 21, is sure to bring some star wattage to the Windy City.
The fest’s opening night feature will be Stone, starring Edward Norton as a prisoner who has to convince his parole officer (Robert De Niro) that he is ready for an early release. The movie was shot last summer in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Norton will be at the screening along with Forest Whitaker and director Guillermo del Toro, who are both being honored at the festival.
The festival’s Centerpiece film is Danny Boyle’s 127 Hours, starring James Franco as the hiker who had to cut off his own arm, after it was pinned under a boulder.
Film festival fave, Black Swan will also be screened at CIFF along with Certified Copy, a romantic romp set in Tuscany starring Juliette Binoche.
You can see a full schedule of all films here. Tickets can be purchased online, at the festival theater box office, AMC River East 21 (322 E. Illinois St.), or the festival offices (30 E. Adams St., suite 800). Ticket prices range from $13 for general admission to $210 for a Movie Passport.
