Confirmed: ‘X-Men: First Class’ will shoot in Georgia

It has been confirmed that X-Men: First Class will be shot in Georgia later this year, but, it won’t be filmed on Tybee Island as was first speculated. Instead, the movie will be shooting in the Brunswick/Jekyll Island area.

Savannah Now is reporting that producers have notified Tybee Island officials that they were releasing the city from a permit granted in September to shoot along the North Shore.

We’ve heard that they will will begin setting up production offices on Jekyll Island later this month, but the bulk of filming on the island won’t take place until December. Right now, X-Men continues filming in the U.K.

  1. To whom this may concern: I would like to know what I need to do in order to try out or be in this movie. Are you just filming this movie here or are you looking at or for talent? I am a retired navy man and I am really interested in trying out for this movie. It is one of my favorit.
    Respectfully,
    Mr. Reginald Rose
