According to The Star, Pinewood Toronto Studios has landed the biggest-budget movie ever to be shot in Toronto. Total Recall, a $200 million remake of the 1990 hit, is set to begin shooting in March.
According to their sources, Pinewood Toronto has already signed the deal with Columbia Pictures. The waterfront studio, which boasts the largest soundstage in North America, is the only Toronto studio large enough to facilitate a blockbuster film like Total Recall.
Though it has not been confirmed who will star in the movie, Variety has reported that Columbia offered Colin Farrell the role made famous by Arnold Schwarzenegger.
