‘Fairhaven’ Open Casting Call to be held in New Bedford, MA next week

An open casting call for the movie Fairhaven, which will be shot in Fairhaven, MA next month, will be held Jan. 3 at the Zeiterion in New Bedford, MA.

The movie’s producers said in the announcement that extras wouldn’t be paid for the work but that “we’ll feed you and make sure you have a good time.”

“We are looking for locals of all ages, male and female, to be featured extras in various scenes throughout the film all over Fairhaven and New Bedford,” read the official Facebook message.

The casting call will be for featured extra roles and possibly some smaller speaking parts in the movie, about three men, played by writer, actor and director Tom O’Brien and actors Chris Messina and Brad Henke, who come back into each others’ lives at a time when each is struggling.

Filming will take place Jan. 10-29 in both Fairhaven and New Bedford, including several Fairhaven landmarks like Town Hall, the high school and Fort Phoenix.

The casting call will be held from 6-8 p.m. at the Zeiterion, 684 Purchase St. Those looking to attend are asked to RSVP by e-mail to fairhaventhemovie@gmail.com.
