Upcoming projects and casting calls in Atlanta & Wilmington including ‘Timothy Green’, ‘Joyful Noise’, & ‘Cinderella’

Here’s some scoop on three new movies filming this winter, as well as a few casting calls that have gone out on each. If you have any scoop about these movies or their filming locations, let us know about it olv@onlocationvacations.com!

The Odd Life of Timothy Green

After months of speculation about where The Odd Life of Timothy Green would be filmed, it looks like they will finally begin shooting in Atlanta on January 20. The Disney movie stars Jennifer Garner and Joel Edgerton as a couple who bury their wishes for a child in the backyard, but when Timothy Green finally arrives, he is not all he seems to be.

Casting is currently underway for the movie and they are seeking photo doubles for the movie’s main characters,  a white male 4’7 and very slim with brownish hair and a white female 5’1 96lbs w/ long brown hair, and a white male, 4’10 58lbs, brownish hair. Joyful Noise

Dolly Parton and Queen Latifah will star together as two women trying to save a gospel choir after financial problems have threatened to shut it down in Joyful Noise.

The movie is expected to begin filming in Atlanta later this month. In the meantime, there are several casting calls for supporting roles including a “Manny”, they are specifically looking for an African American Male to play 18-years old who is “too cool for school” and he is not afraid to go after what he wants, oh, and he plays electric guitar.

The are also looking for someone who can play 15 years old for the role of Vi Rose’s son, who has Aspberger’s Syndrome.

A Cinderella Story

Lucy Hale will star in ABC Family’s A Cinderella Story, the third film in the Cinderella Story franchise which will begin filming in Wilmington in February. The movie’s casting directors are currently casting various roles for male and female singers and dancers who are over 18 but can play 17 year olds.
