News Wrap-Up: Jennifer Love Hewitt headed to Chicago, ‘The Beaver’ will premiere at SXSW, and much more

Jennifer Love Hewitt and her boyfriend Alex Beh will be in Chicago filming the coming-of-age indie flick Warren this spirng. Beh not only wrote the movie, but he’s also producing, directing and costarring in it along with Hewitt. [E!]

The Beaver, starring Mel Gibson, will have its world premiere in SXSW’s centerpiece slot March 16. [THR]

Sarah Michelle Gellar has signed on to star in the new CBS pilot Ringer about “a troubled young lass on the run from the mob. She assumes the life of her wealthy twin sister, only to find out that said sibling has a bounty on her head as well.” [ComingSoon]

Glee’s Cory Monteith has been moonlighting on a film called Sisters and Brothers, which has been filming in Vancouver. The movie also stars Corey’s longtime friend Dustin Milligan. [Province]

Eva Mendes has signed on to star in the indie project Anxiety. The movie is scheduled to start filming in Vancouver on February 28. [ThePlayList]

Alvin and the Chipmunks 3 will be shot in Vancouver later this month. This will be the first time the franchise won’t be shot in Los Angeles. [Province]
