Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill, Nicolas Cage, & Jamie Foxx are headed to Louisiana too

According to the Louisiana Film Office, they’ve added a few more movies to the roster of films already shooting around the state.

On the top of that list is Medallion, in which Nicolas Cage will return to New Orleans to play a father who has only a few hours to find his daughter after she is kidnapped and locked in the trunk of a New York medallion taxi cab. Principal photography on Medallion is expected to begin January 28th.

Producer Neal Moritz also recently confirmed that the big-screen version of the 80’s hit TV show 21 Jump Street will begin filming in New Orleans this April. Jonah Hill, who has had a hand in writing and producing the film, and Channing Tatum will star. Its also been rumored that the star of the TV show, Johnny Depp, may make an appearance in the movie too!

We’ve already reported that Bruce Willis will be in New Orleans later this month for Looper co-starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt (who is already in NOLA), but he will also be filming Playing the Field aka Kane & Lynch with Jamie Fox in Baton Rouge. The movie is scheduled to begin shooting at the end of February.
