We often hear about the hijinks of celebrities while they’re filming on location, but some of them are doing good in their temporary hometowns too.
USA Today reports that the stars of the upcoming movie The Help rescued several homeless animals while filming in Greenwood, Mississippi last year. Allison Janney, Sissy Spacek, and Emma Stone were among the stars who were saving dogs’ lives for the Society to Prevent Cruelty to Animals. One vet said, “Wow, these Hollywood people are keeping us in business rescuing these dogs and bringing them to us.” Hopefully, they threw in a few donations along the way too.
Ashley Greene, who is currently in Baton Rouge, LA filming Breaking Dawn, also rescued a stray dog this week and is currently looking for the dog’s owner. Last night she Tweeted, “Well…@elliebeltran and I just rescued a puppy in baton rouge…. Hope we find his owners.”
