how old do you have to be to go to the casting call?
@ Claudia – It helps to read the entire posting before asking a question like that.
@ TABurke – It helps everyone for you to not be an a-hole.
Claudia ~ I read through the posting and did not see anything pertaining to age ~ I will continue to look and post what I find ~ no need to be so short TaBurke!
men and women of all ages
Thank you Kurt…so it means children under the age of 18 may attend? Appreciate your efforts!
No, for open casting calls, you need to be 18. If they are looking for children they will specify that because minors need special permits from the State Department of Labor to work on film or television sets in the State of New York. Generally they will hire people over 18 that look younger to play teenagers. They even have to hire very short adults to work as stand-ins for child actors that are working in film.
Thanks for all your help!!
What does NONSAG and SAG Mean?!?!
SAG stands for Screen Actors Guild, which is the actors union, so it means non-union or union.
Ohh thank you!
What has this got to do with an open casting call and who cares?
I deleted the spam! Lots of it lately for some reason, thanks!
Do i have to bring with me any specific papers or such?
Would like very much to be on Boardwalk Emmpire again!!! what a grt day, wonderful cast and crew, what a pleasure!!! I looked nothing like my self, very 1920″s, so cool!!!Seemed to be put in alot of scene’s too, great fun, great work!!! I am fully paided up AFTRA!!! Paid up AFTRA means NOTHING to Boardwalk Empire, a SAG show. The good news is we’ll be in both after the merger vote! Bad news is a ton of extra competition for the same amount of jobs.
Are you working at end of month? I’m doing four days in a New Year’s Eve scene.
Not as much fun for men: haircut.
Hi, I read your reply about children needing work permit, can a child that has a current work permit go to the open call. My son is a child performer and is a client of Funny Face Model and One Source Talent. Can you e-mail reply to LCavallone@comcast.net Thanks Luz
