George Clooney’s ‘Ides of March’ Open Casting Call for Extras announced in Cincinnati

Yesterday, we mentioned that George Clooney and crew would be arriving in Cincinnati this week (we’ve actually since heard that they started rolling into town this weekend) and that there would soon be an open casting call for his upcoming movie, The Ides of March, well today we have received all of the details.

An open casting call for adult “background performers” – or extras – will be 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 5) at Dare To Dream Casting in Longworth Hall, 700 W. Pete Rose Way, Downtown Cincinnati.

The 15,000-plus who have already applied to be extras need not attend.

Clooney will need “hundreds of extras” while shooting throughout Cincinnati in February and March, said Kristen Erwin, Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky Film Commission executive director. “There are very obvious locations. They will be prominent around the city,” Erwin added about where exactly the scenes will take place.

If you have applied to be an extra in the film or have any scoop about where they’ll filming, drop us a line at olv@onlocationvacations.com!

Please do not leave comments here if interested in being an extra, all inquiries should be directed to Dare To Dream Casting.

  3. Hi George! All my family are from eastern Kentucky, which is where I live now. I grew up in Florida but I love my hometown of Morehead, Kentucky. Such a beautiful state, and I love to ride horses. I am 24 years old and would love to play a part in your movie! Sincerely, Megan

  4. Just wondering, what about young adults auditioning as in 16 or 17 year olds? Because im a little bit confused as to why it’s just “adults” allowed to audition. In a normal city atmosphere wouldn’t there be children? I would greatly appreciate it if you helped me to have a better understanding. You can reach me on my email at jillian_elysse2012@hotmail.com

  5. Hey, what a voice Rosemary has! Yeah, she still has that prettiness, charm and voice, even though. How bright and charming your Dad is. Your Dad’s news presentations and comments made such an impression for being sensible. I’ve no clue what Ides of March is about. Would my hometown of Mariemont be of use for the film? (No need to reply)
