According to CBS Chicago, a movie stuntman was seriously injured after being “struck by a car during filming on the West Side of Chicago on Monday afternoon.”
At about 3:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon, the Chicago Fire Department got a call that a person was struck by a car on the 1900 block of South Spaulding Avenue. The injured person was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious to critical condition.
The victim was a stuntman working on a project being filmed at the location. Though what they were filming was not confirmed, the Showtime series Shameless has been filming at various locations around Chicago for the last few days. They will continue to shoot in Chicago through Wednesday, Feb. 2.
