James Gandolfini and David Chase reunite in New York City for ‘Twylight Zones’

James Gandolfini has joined David Chase’s first feature film Twylight Zones. The movie centers on Douglas, a singer in a 1960’s band, and his rise to fame. Gandolfini will play Douglas’ father who finds rock music unacceptable.

Chase and Gandolfini will be returning to their old stomping grounds in New Jersey and New York City, where they shot The Sopranos, to film Twylight in a few weeks. Interviews for background actors are underway this week and there is a shoot date scheduled for Feb. 9, though the film’s official date is still unknown.

Gandolfini is also attached to play the best male friend of Sandra Bullock’s widowed character in Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, which is scheduled to start shooting this week, also in NYC.
