James Franco is already scheduled to shoot several new movies and open a L.A. bar this year, but somehow he’s found time to squeeze in a run on Broadway too!
According to Deadline, Franco is “fully committed” to to star in Sweet Bird Of Youth next fall. Nicole Kidman has also reportedly committed to starring in the Tennessee Williams revival.
In the play, Kidman will play Alexandra Del Lago, the aging voracious movie star, while Franco will play her gigolo paramour Chance Wayne.
Over the past year I’ve grown to really admire Franco. He seems willing to try anything – from hosting the Oscars to creating a Three’s Company Art Installation – its too bad other young actors don’t take more risks, or maybe they just don’t get the opportunity? Either way, its exciting to see someone pushing themselves in so many different directions, can’t wait to see what he does next!
