James Franco and Gus Van Sant team up for art exhibit at Gagosian Gallery

As if directing, acting, hosting the Oscars, and being a full-time student weren’t enough, James Franco is preparing for another art exhibit and this time he’s teaming up with legendary director Gus Van Sant.

According to Gagosian Gallery, the exhibit, Unfinished, will open Feb. 26 in Beverly Hills and run through April 9.

The exhibit is a reworking of Van Sant’s 1991 flick My Own Private Idaho, called Endless Idaho, which Franco created using behind the scenes and deleted footage from the film. If you want to check it out, you might want to pack a snack, Endless Idaho is 12 hours long.

There is also a second movie included in the exhibit entitled My Own Private River. This shorter flick consists of pictures of River Phoenix set to an original score by Michael Stipe.

The films are accompanied by eight works on paper done by Van Sant.
