We knew Steve Carell’s days on The Office were numbered, but it hadn’t sunk in until Rainn Wilson made it official this morning via Twitter.
Carell’s co-star shared his sadness over shooting their final scenes together, writing:
Steve Carell’s last day on ‘The Office.’ And the angels of comedy wept… #saddestdayever
It’s not just a sad day for the cast and crew, who spent their final hours with Steve on the show’s soundstage, but it’s also a sad day for all of the show’s fans too. Let’s face it, no matter what they choose to do moving forward, The Office will never be the same without Michael Scott!
