Woody Allen will shoot his next movie in Rome

According to Variety,  Woody Allen will spend the summer in Rome filming his next movie.  The iconic writer/director has already used some of the world’s most beautiful cities as his canvas, including New York, London, Barcelona and Paris.

“I love these sophisticated and civilized metropolises,” said Allen. “Each time it’s been like writing a love letter to these places and projecting my feelings for them on the screen. I hope to be able to do the same with Rome.”

Allen’s Untitled Project will follow his Paris-set romantic comedy “Midnight in Paris,” featuring an Rachel McAdams, Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody, Marion Cotillard and French first lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, which will open at the Cannes Film Festival in May.

Helping Allen in his decision to shoot in Rome was Italy’s generous 25% tax credits for international productions.
