Now that it’s official that Perks of Being A Wallflower will be shot in Pittsburgh in May, the Pittsburgh Film Office has released some preliminary information for those who would like to work on the film.
According to a recent post on pghfilm.org:
Summit Entertainment is now accepting crew resumes for the feature “Perks of Being a Wallflower.” Please send to: POBAWF@gmail.com.
Though there have been no Open Casting Calls announced yet, Nancy Mosser Casting will be handling extras casting and asks that hopefuls create a profile at www.mossercasting.com.
Perks is based on the coming-of-age book of the same name by Pittsburgh native Stephen Chbosky who said he wouldn’t consider having the movie made anywhere else. Harry Potter’s Emma Watson is set to star in the film.
In addition to Perks, Still I Rise, directed by Daniel Barnz, will also begin filming in Pittsburgh in May.
