According to Collider.com, Marvel CCO Joe Quesada recently confirmed that Joss Whedon’s The Avengers has already started filming.
The article goes on to say:
When asked if he feels that the film really is the culmination of everything that’s come before and that it’s going to top everything, Quesada responded thusly:
“Yes, I mean again, look at the cast. Just starting with the cast, it’s like a rock concert. It’s unbelievable, even in San Diego when they brought them all up on stage. You got to see all these amazing actors on stage. If you didn’t get chills up your spine, you have no pulse. Basically, get yourself a casket and go home. And then you have Joss Whedon at the wheel. I’ve seen the screenplay, it’s amazing. I’ve seen what we’re going to do. I’ve seen designs; they’re out of this world. It’s going to be the quintessential superhero movie. I hesitate to say more but we’re really, really, excited about it.”
If The Avengers did begin filming, we’re assuming they’re at Albuquerque Studios, in Albuquerque, NM where Marvel has rented all available studio space for most of the year.
And if the movie’s all star cast has already arrived in Albuquerque they’ve been pretty stealth considering we can’t find any confirmed sightings of the cast.

They were shooting something for it here, in Orange, CA. I really don’t know if they are done or not, but they took down the signs that said they were filming.
I thought that was a TV pilot that was filming in Orange last week?
Does anyone know when they start filming in Cleveland or who is doing extras casting there? Has a casting call been announced? Thanks
