Despite a decrease in their annual tax incentives for film and TV projects, Michigan has approved “Spy Kids 4” for about $1.8 million in credits to be used for post-production work that will done in Birmingham, MI this spring.
The movie will use the Speedshape facility for visual effects and to convert 2D to 3D. According to IMDb, the movie was shot at Troublemaker Studios in Austin, TX and is currently in post-production.
“Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World,” stars Antonio Banderas and Jessica Alba.
There may still be more film projects to come for Michigan this year. Only about $7 million of the $25 million dollars allocated for film incentives has been used so far.
