Lindsay Lohan may portray slain wife of Roman Polanski

After getting used to seeing Lindsay Lohan all over the gossip magazines, there are rumors that she might be headed back to the big screen. According to Tyler Shields, the director of an upcoming Charles Manson biopic Lindsay Lohan is in negotiations to play Sharon Tate, the pregnant pin-up, who was killed by Manson and his followers.

Tate was married to director Roman Polanski at the time of her death in 1969.

According to Shields, he is rather confident that Lohan will agree to take on the role of Sharon Tate, he tells ew.com:

“We’ve worked together many, many times. She asked me about Eyes of a Dreamer… and I said, ‘Oh you should be Sharon Tate.’ And she was like, ‘That would be amazing.'”

Even though the director hopes to begin filming on July 15, this is only a week before the actress’ next court date in her ongoing issues with the law. If Lohan is sentenced to serve time in prison after allegedly violating probation by stealing a necklace from a Venice, California jewelry store, the starlet might have to pass on the role.

Shields remains confident and says, “We have to shoot the movie this year, so I don’t know. We’ll have to cross that bridge when we come to it. Hopefully that’s not the case.”

Though there’s no word about where the movie will be filmed, the famous home where the murders took place was located at 10050 Cielo Dr, Los Angeles.

We will keep you up to date as the story unfolds.
