Deadline reports that Dexter creator James Manos Jr and Michael C. Hall will team up for another project after they wrap filming the sixth season of their Showtime series in November.
Their first big screen collaboration, which will also star Vera Farmiga, is an indie film entitled Love, Scotch and Death. Hall will play the lead character based on Manos. This will mark Manos’ feature directorial debut.
The film reportedly, “covers a rather bizarre week in the man’s life. After returning from a stressful vacation, he discovers his parents have died of natural causes together in bed, which forces him to navigate his way past an unsympathetic funeral director, his bewildered children and manic wife, an eccentric priest and some over-sexed neighbors. There is also an arrest for assault and the death of his wife’s beloved dog.”
Dexter will begin filming in L.A. next month.
There’s no word yet on where Love, Scotch, and Death will be shot yet, or even where its set, but wherever it is you know we’ll find it! Stay tuned!
