Nestor Carbonell Reprising His Role in “The Dark Knight Rises”

Nestor Carbonell (‘Lost’, ‘The Dark Knight’) will be reprising his role as Gotham’s Mayor in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises.

Carbonell joins his old cast that includes: Christian Bale (‘The Fighter’), Gary Oldman (‘The Book of Eli’), Morgan Freeman (‘Red’), and Michael Caine (‘Inception’). They will be joined by franchise newcomers – Anne Hathaway (‘Rio’), Tom Hardy (‘Inception’), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (‘500 Days of Summer’), Juno Temple (‘The Three Musketeers’), Daniel Sunjata (‘The Devil Wears Prada’), Diego Klattenhoff (‘Mean Girls’), Josh Pence (‘The Social Network’), Burn Gorman (‘Fred Claus’) and Marion Cotillard (‘Inception’).

Nolan, who penned the screenplay with his brother Jonathan Nolan (‘The Dark Knight’), will produce with his longtime producing partner & wife Emma Thomas (‘Inception’), as well as Charles Roven (‘The International’).  Production is slated to start this summer in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
