Mark Wahlberg begins filming ‘Ted’ in Boston tomorrow

We first heard about the movie Ted more than a year ago and now it looks like it is finally going to begin filming in Boston tomorrow!

In the movie, Mark Wahlberg stars as a man whose childhood teddy bear comes to life and remains his best friend into adulthood, causing rifts in many of his other relationships.  Ted marks the feature directorial debut of Seth MacFarlane and also stars Mila Kunis, Joel McHale and Jessica Stroup.

Tomorrow, they will be filming on Tremont St in Bay Village where they have reportedly turned the building into a Liberty Rent-a-Car.

We’ve also reported that they will be shooting at 441 Atlantic Ave in Swampscott, MA on May 4, 5, and 6.

On May 12th they will be filming at Charlie’s Sandwich Shoppe in Boston and on May 18th and 19th they will be filming at Chandler and St. Charles streets in Boston’s South End.

  1. Will someone start getting photo’s of them filming Ted ir dining or hanging around town shopping. I’d really like to see Mila Kunis and Seth MacFarlane in his Ted costume.

  2. Ted is filming at Charlie’s Sandwich Shoppe, Columbus Ave, Boston today on 5.3. They were originally scheduled to shoot at Charlie’s on 5.12, but they will now be filming at 65 Chandler Street on 5.12 instead.

    • For those of us who don’t live in Boston….it would be great if someone in Boston would take photo’s escpecially of mila kunis and seth macfarlane and post them on line. thanks

  3. They apparently were just filming at/around the Somerville Theater on 6/14, I was walking around yesterday (6/15) and all the lighting and tech gear was around and some areas where blocked off. I asked a cop and he said he thinks they are done.

  4. They are filming @ a church on Colombus Ave by West Newton… Looked like a wedding was taking place! Maybe one of the final scenes/happy ending.
