Travel Inspiration: Dallas reboot returns to Southfork Ranch in Plano, TX this week

The Southfork Ranch is one of the most famous properties in America thanks to the 1980’s TV series Dallas in which the ranch was used as the Ewing family home.

This week the Ewing family has returned to Southfork, as the TNT remake of the classic TV show is being shot there through Monday.

According to the ranch’s website:

FOR PRIVATE EVENTS ON THE FOLLOWING DATES:

Wednesday, May 4
Thursday, May 5
Monday, May 9

NO TOURS OR RETAIL/GIFT STORES WILL BE OPEN

AT THE WORLD’S MOST FAMOUS RANCH!

Stars of the original series, Charlene Tilton, Steve Kanaly Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray and Larry Hagman have signed on for appearances in TNT’s version, along with newcomers, Jesse Metcalfe, Julie Gonzalo, Josh Henderson and Jordana Brewster.

The iconic Southfork Ranch is located about 25 miles north of Dallas and is usually open to the public for tours and special events. The ranch is open 9:00 am to 5:00 pm daily, tours depart the Visitors Center every 30-45 minutes, and run continuously throughout the day.
