The Time 100 Gala brings the stars, and fans, out in NYC

Each year Time magazine honors the 100 most influential people of the year and then honors them at a gala, which has taken place at Jazz At Lincoln Center.

The Frederick P. Rose Hall, where the event takes place, is located among The Shops at Columbus Circle (the entrance is across fro the Hugo Boss store).

This year the gala brought out Carmelo Anthony, Martha Stewart, Amy Poehler, Brian Williams, Seth Meyers, Questlove, Aziz Ansari, Mark Wahlberg, Gayle King, and dozens of other big names, all of whom had to cross through the mall to get to their destination.

The unique location makes it a good spot for celeb sightings, but you have to get there early (at least 3 hours before the red carpet arrivals which start at 7) to have a good spot along the red carpet, or along the railing on the second and third floors. We stopped by the event this year, as did a few of our readers, and in general we all felt that it was a good opportunity to see a lot of big celebs in one place, but we still weren’t sure if it was worth the wait.

Anyway, below are a few photos we snapped of the red carpet arrivals. Did you check out the Time 100 Gala, what did you think?

  1. I was at Lincoln Center that day watching Glee, and I actually saw Chris Colfer leave the set in a van to go to the gala, but I didn’t know it was for the gala until I got home and then it was too late to return. I’m so pissed I didn’t know about it.

  2. those are some pretty cool pics, i took some of my own at the Met Gala but there definitely seems to be a wider assortment of celebs at this one! nuts!
