The stars of Rock of Ages, the highly anticipated movie based on the hit Broadway show, are being spotted all over Miami which means filming is getting underway this week!
The film’s lead, Tom Cruise, checked into the Continnum in Miami Beach earlier in the week, along with Suri and Katie of course, while Paul Giamatti was spotted having lunch at Cafe Versailles.
On Sunday, Julianne Hough and Diego Boneta ate at Rosa Mexicano before catching a movie at Regal South Beach Cinema.
This week a set has been built on the Monarch Hill Landfill, located right next to the Florida Turnpike at Sample Road in Pompano Beach where they’ve recreated the Hollywood sign.
Since filming is just getting started, we expect the movie’s stars will spotted filming and dining all over Miami over the next few weeks.
If you’re in South Florida, you can use this thread to discuss the movie, its locations, and any local celeb sightings with other fans in the comments below! Or, if you’d rather, send us your tips at olv@onlocationvacations.com!
DUDE. That landfill is RIGHT by where I live. I may have to drive by and see if I can spot the Hollywood sign!!
definitely worth driving by, let us know what you find! 🙂
Looking forward to more information from you guys so I can check out the filming once it begins.
Oh yeah you can definetely see it if your headed south on the turnpike or if your exiting southbound onto Sample.
I worked as an extra the first day of filming. I was a little surprised how relaxed the set was. Sure hope I can work more then one day.
Exciting! Please let us now more about filming locations. I live in Miami and would love to catch a glimpse : )
