Here’s a look at what’s filming on location Friday, May 27, 2011 (and through Memorial Day weekend):

Filming in Atlanta:

Update: The Three stooges filming at 490 West Paces Ferry in Atlanta. (Thanks @andrew_snook)

Filming in Boston:

• Ted is expected to continue filming in Chelsea, MA, around Broadway and Beacon St tonight. (Thanks Meaghan)

Filming in Los Angeles, CA:

• Worlds Astonishing News is filming at 1335 Willow St (8:30 P.M. – 1:30 A.M.).

• Dexter is filming on Signal St, E 22nd St. South to end (3:00 P.M. – 12:00 A.M.).

• Sons of Anarchy is filming at the Disney Ranch.

Update: Californication is filming again today near Coldwater Canyon and Ventura Blvd., L.A. (Thanks @Rebel49)

Filming in Miami:

• Rock of Ages, starring Tom Cruise,  is filming at the Monarch Hill landfill, look for the Hollywood sign at Sample Rd turnpike exit. (Thanks @steve61lindsey)

Filming in Michigan:

• For Five Year Engagement, starring Jason Segel and Emily Blunt, we’ve heard rumors about two possible locations. The first being that they will return to Randy’s BarBQ on US 12 in Irish Hills. BUT, we also heard they may be shooting in Ypsilanti, presumably on W. Michigan Ave, which we know has been a planned filming location for a few weeks. (Thanks Dudley and Clyde)

Update: Ypsilanti filming is NEXT Friday.

If anyone spots them at either of these locations, or another completely different location, let us know, thanks!

• Hung is filming at The Thai Cafe in Royal Oak.

Filming in New Mexico:

• As Cool As I Am, starring Claire Danes, is filming Central Ave SW & Rio Grande Blvd SW, Albuquerque.

• The Avengers is filming at Albuquerque Studios.

• Breaking Bad is filming in studio (Albuquerque Studios).

• In Plain Sight is filming in studio (1-25 Studios in Albuquerque).

• Odd Thomas is filming at/around Santa Fe Plaza in Santa Fe again. They’re still looking for extras too!

Filming in New Orleans:

• Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is likely filming in studio again (801 Thayer St). 

• Medal Productions, LLC is filming at the St. Roch, LA Recreation Center overnight. I think this is Medallion.

• Memphis Beat is filming at Veterans Blvd and Labarre Rd., Metairie, LA.

FYI: A film crew will also be filming aerial shots over the French Quarter.

Filming in New York City, NY:

•  The Avengers (Group Hug) signs spotted around Bryant Park. (Thanks @_r_squared)

• Boardwalk Empire filming at 1 Bowling Green.

• The Big C is filming in studio (West St, Stamford, CT).

• Bored To Death is filming at 50th and Park Ave. (Thanks Nicole)

• Girls is filming in studio (Silvercup Studio East).

• How To Make It In America is filming around McCarren Park, Brooklyn.  (Thanks @cherry_blossomz)

•  Men In Black 3 is filming at Robert Moses State Park,  Field 4. Signs also spotted at the following locations in Brooklyn for filming tonight (stunt scenes):

– Court St in Cobble Hill/Carrol Gardens

–  Smith and President

• Royal Pains is filming in studio (Broadway Stages).

• White Collar is filming around Park Ave and 38th.

Filming in North Carolina:

•  The Hunger Games is filming in Shelby, NC. 

Filming in Pittsburgh:

• Steel Town (formerly Still I Rise), a new movie starring Maggie Gyllenhall, is filming around Mellon Arena, this is where base camp is set up.  (Thanks Niki)

• The Perks of Being a Wallflower, starring Emma Watson, continues filming in Pittsburgh on Friday. We’ve heard they may be filming at West End Overlook or off of Hayes Rd. You can get all of the latest details from other fans in our Perks of Being A Wallflower Open Thread!  FYI: They will be off Sat- Mon, Tuesday they will film at the Hollywood Theater in Dormont.

Update: Perks is definitely filming at the West End Overlook tonight after 6:00 P.M.

Weekend Filming Locations:

We don’t anticipate too many productions will be filming this weekend (Sat- Mon) so we’ll add any other updates for the weekend below. Here’s what we have so far:

• Tuuli Too is filming under 6th St bridge in the Viaduct in Los Angeles on (5/29/11, 7:00 A.M. – 9:00 P.M.).

• On the Run is filming at 901 E 4th Pl (5/28/11, 7:00 A.M. – 7:00 P.M.) and 316 W 2nd St in Los Angeles (5/29/11, 7:00 A.M. – 7:00 P.M.).

• Rye Rye is filming at Traction Ave, E. 3rd St- Avery St and S. Hewitt St, Traction Ave- E. 4th Pl in Los Angeles (5/30/11, 7:00 A.M. – 10:00 P.M.).

• An UntitledProject is filming at 830 S Broadway in Los Angeles (5/29/11, 6:00 A.M. – 7:00 P.M.).

• Men In Black 3 is suppose to be shooting in Brooklyn, NYC again on Saturday night (5.28) around Carroll Gardens on Court Street and around 4th St and Court St. (Thanks Amal, @ninecrayons)

Update: Hung is filming in Royal Oak, MI on Saturday, around Royal Oak OCC. (Thanks @justwitt) FYI: They will be filming here on Sunday morning also.

Update: Underworld 4 filming car scenes Saturday night in downtown Vancouver with Michael Ealy.

  2. I visited the Dexter set on Wednesday, but I heard the new location they are filming at (Signal St and E. 22nd St at the San Pedro docks) is pretty much inaccessible to the public. Does anyone know if this is true or not? Would love to catch a glimpse of Michael C. Hall before this summer is over…..

    • If Dexter is filming where I think they will be (either in the warehouses on the west side of Signal Street or even on the east side) then those sets will definitely be closed to the public. However, their base camp might be possibly accessible. There’s a couple of parking lots directly north of Signal Street & E 22nd. I’m betting that’s where they’ll be setting up their base camp. I could be wrong of course, but that’s what I’m thinking. They might even set up their base camp in the parking lot at Port’s O Call…that’s where they were a lot last summer.

  3. the MIB shoot on court street in brooklyn is crazy, the whole way from atlantic ave to the gowanus is lined with cars from the 70’s

  4. I saw the cars for MIB3 last night (Thurs) around Court St in Brooklyn Heights but didn’t see them there this morning around 9:30am.

    Also, didn’t see anything around Bryant Park for Group Hug either but will check again in the afternoon during my lunch break.

  6. The Avengers/ Group Hug: Did they ever shoot on 42nd @ Vanderbilt as posted the other day??? Weeks back the same spot was a weekend evening shoot which I think was rained out.

    Memorial Day filming: A few years back both Matt Damon’s last Bourne movie and another feature both filmed on this holiday. I hope the NYC crews have off this year, but major holiday filming does happen on rare occasions.

  7. I don’t know what the deal is with The Avengers, they are def. filming in NM but those are everywhere in NYC… but no one ever actually sees anything filming? They wouldn’t put out signs just for scouting or something would they? It doesn’t make sense…

    Avengers: Nobody uses no parking signs for location scouting because it usually only consists of 1-3 crew members. If they are shooting camera tests, then they would need signs to park many vehicles. Their NYC shoot may only be second unit, I had heard they were coming here I think in June or July.

  11. At MIB3 at Robert Moses state park- Josh Brolin is here and we’re waiting to see if Will Smith is coming from his huge trailer. They are shooting on the beach

  12. Have you heard anything more about the glades?
    I’ve been checking the tennis center all week and haven’t seen a thing.

    • no, its weird, I got that tip late last weekt hat they would be there this week, but no specific date, maybe sched. changed or something, thanks so much for checking though, I appreciate it,!

  13. MIB3 at RobertosesaqAWill Smith has left for the weekend. Josh Brolin is still here, shooting scenes. I got a picture with him earlier!

  17. Randy’s for the Dexter filming? We were also just in San Pedro and we drove all the way down Signal St and the guard told us that he didn’t think the actors were there…. of anything they were filming a short car scene….

  20. They’re filming MIB3 the stunt scene right now in Brooklyn on Court St. Road is closed from Union St down. They aren’t allowing pedestrians to go by the actual filming.

  21. I stumbled onto Hung in downtown Royal Oak, MI and they must be filming. They had streets blocked off as of 12:30pm. Seemed like they had more blocked off than just the area around the restaurant.

  25. Casting calls for White Collar for Tuesday, 5/31 said they will be shooting in Throgs Neck, Bronx. They’re shooting a scene with white collar prisoners and their families, and they have a very early morning call.

    Christine, if you look closely at the the sign someone sent you saying they are shooting at St. Mark’s on Tuesday, I’m pretty sure it says move cars Tuesday and filming on Wednesday, 6/1.
