The 14th annual Long Island International Film Expo (LIIFE) will honor actor Ed Burns with a Creative Achievement Award from the Long Island Film-TV Foundation at their closing party and awards ceremony.
LIFE will be held at the historic Bellmore Movies in Bellmore, NY from July 7th – 14th and will feature more than 115 films from around the world with an emphasis on documentaries and foreign films.
Among the highlights of this year’s expo is the Irish/Bosnian film, As If I Am Not There, which will be the official opening night feature on Friday, July 8, 2011 at 7:00 pm, the documentary King of the Hamptons with cameos by Alec Baldwin, Billy Joel and other celebrities, and the short film Lily of the Feast, produced by Nassau County’s Michael Ricigliano, Jr. and directed by Federico Castellucio (Furio from The Sopranos). The cast includes Paul Sorvino and Tony Lo Bianco (The French Connection).
LIIFE will also include panels on script writing and film distribution, a filmmakers’ breakfast and an opening night buffet/tech award ceremony on Friday night.
