‘Law and Order: Criminal Intent’ film their final scene in NYC

Last Friday was a sad day for Law and Order: Criminal Intent fans as the show’s stars, Vincent D’Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe, shot the very last scene of the series.

The shoot came as a surprise to fans because the show actually wrapped up a few weeks ago (they even had a sale to get rid of left over props and equipment a week before), but it is believed Friday’s shoot was necessary to clean up a few scenes and possibly make a few adjustments since the show is officially ending.

One of our Twitter followers, @Sapphire902, was kind enough to send us a few photos from that last day, making these our very last set of photos from a show that has been a staple in New York City for more than a decade. Check out her photos below and tell us how you feel about the show ending in the comments below.

  1. I hope they dont do some stupid thing where Goren and Eames “hook up” because the show has never been sexy like that unlike SVU. Although, who cares at this point if it is inconsistent, because Criminal Intent has been bad ever since season 6 started after Rene Balcer left.

  2. Are you blind? Criminal Intent is the best of all the Law and Order spin offs and the recent episodes are brilliant. It is intelligent so maybe that’s why it doesn’t appeal to certain people, and unlike SVU believable. The latter has become ridiculous. There is no character to compare to Goren who is reminiscent of the classic detectives like Sherlock Holmes, Poirot and Columbo

    • I could’nt agree more!!! These are actual “characters” unlike the other attempts to bring “other” actors to the Criminal Intent show. Goren and Eames are to me, as real as real can get. Goren’s character over the years has been given some serious stuff to deal with. I was devestated to hear that this was the end for Goren as well as Eames. Here’s to a great show that will be missed by thoses who really do find intelligence appealing.

  3. One of the best shows on tv. i will miss Det Goren,an amazing character played brilliantly by an amazing actor.BRAVO

  4. I will miss Vincent and Kathryn”Goren & Emes” They were a graet team. I hope they do something in the future together…Maybe they can have specials with them as their CI charactors… Maybe its just wishful thinking. I hope what ever they choose to do they are sucessful but mostly happy. My love to them both…

  5. Oh give me a break. Balcer was great but he’s not the one and only. I’m sick of Balcer groupies putting down anything AFTER his departure. The show was fine until season 8 where it lost it’s way until these final 8 episodes. The show has been revitalized as far as I’m concerned.

In any case, I will miss my Goren and Eames and I will miss Vincent and Kathryn, although we will see them in other projects I’m sure. Goren and Eames are the best detective team ever.

Thanks to Chris Brancato and Warren Leight for reviving the show. And I’m glad to see Balcer was involved with the final episode as well.

  6. This show was the best spin off of them all and it’s a shame to hear it’s ending. They were the best team and proven experts in the field of criminal investigations. Very sad to see it end, of course there will be the endless repeats. . .

  7. I just want to let it be know.. This was one of the biggest let downs in finale history.. Love the show but im disappointed in the ending

    • I liked it, I think they did it that way so maybe in the future they can come back.Maybe it’s just wishful thinking on my part.
