Julia Roberts begins filming the Untitled Snow White Project in Montreal

This week Julia Roberts began filming Relativity Media’s comedy action-adventure Untitled Snow White project with director Tarsem Singh in Montreal.

In the film she plays an evil Queen who steals control of a kingdom, and an exiled princess (played by Lily Collins), before enlisting the help of seven resourceful rebels who help her win back her birthright. The film also stars Armie Hammer as Prince Andrew Alcott, and Nathan Lane as the Queens hapless servant.

But, unlike The Words, the new Bradley Cooper movie which has been primarily filming on location in Montreal, the Untitled Snow White Project will be shot mostly in studio. As we’ve reported, the movie has set up shop at Mel’s Studios where they are taking over five studios at the facility.

  1. I feel like this whole idea is a stretch for the “Snow White” story. And, another Snow White version will be produced as well. Same writers?? ha!
