According to TribLive, Rock Airport in West Deer, PA is currently closed so crews can make preparations for an upcoming shoot for the The Dark Knight Rises.
The movie is expected to shoot in the Pittsburgh area from July 28 to Aug. 21.
Though its not known what they will be filming or when the shoot will take place, the airport’s owner, Rock Ferrone, said the airport closed Monday and will remain that way for up to three weeks for runway maintenance and “other activity”.
Claudia Kalindjian, a spokesperson for the film, said she could not provide details as to “when/what/where we will be shooting in the Pittsburgh area once we get started.”
Earlier this week a black-frame vehicle that was rigged for filming was seen driving up and down the runway, accompanied by a silver van.
