After some friendly pressure from Lance McDaniel, the executive director of the DeadCenter Film Festival, former “Saturday Night Live” cast member Chris Kattan has signed on for a role in “Just Crazy Enough”, which is currently filming in Oklahoma.

McDaniel, who will also direct the comedy about twins separated at birth, co-wrote the film with Sean Lynch. Lynch, a professor of film at Oklahoma City Community College, will also produce “Just Crazy Enough”, while Gray Frederickson has signed on as executive producer.

“It has been a long process, but we have had great luck getting local investors to support the film,” said McDaniel. He further adds that “the cash rebate offered by the state and administered by the Film Commission is a great incentive to get local investors to help out local productions.”

Shooting has already begun on the project at OCCC, with location shots planned around the state, including Crest Market, the Oklahoma Heritage Association, Mount St. Mary High School, and the Oklahoma  state Capitol.
