‘The Playboy Club’ begins filming in Chicago, looking for a woman who can drive a “stick”

Filming for The Playboy Club is officially underway in Chicago, and we’ve just received a new casting call for a scene that will shoot next week:

Need to cast a woman as Mayor Daley’s wife from 1961. I need to find a female 30,40,50 who can drive a stick shift and work on Friday August 12th. If you can drive a stick shift please send an e-mail with photo and stats/phone to playboyextra@gmail.com and put “stick” in the subject line. Thanks

The new NBC series, which was filming around 25th and California in Chicago yesterday, stars Eddie Cibrian as a Nick Dalton, a handsome mob-tied lawyer and man about town in Chicago in the 1960’s. The show, of course, also follows the lives of several Playboy bunnies.

Eddies’s wife LeAnn Rimes has been tweeting about the couple’s move to the Windy City, writing, “3 sets of toiletries, 3 sets of clothes. Starting Thursday our time is split between LA, Chicago & The World! I’m ready!” And later adding, “All great things! …Boxes are a go for Chicago! Very excited for our new adventure! Lots of flying back & forth, but well worth it! Beyond proud of my husband.”

The Playboy Club will be based at Cinespace Chicago Film Studios, which was also recently used for the upcoming Starz series Boss, starring Kelsey Grammer.

Filming is expected to last through December so be sure to let us know (at olv@onlocationvacations.com) if you spot them shooting around town!

  1. Saw the Playboy Club filming yesterday (8/18) evening in the Gold Coast on Goethe and Astor at the Maxim Restaurant. Actors, film trucks, security everywhere.
