There’s good news for Alex Skarsgard fans in New York! His current movie, What Maisie Knew, wraps up on September 23, but his next film, Disconnect, begins filming in the city on September 19 and is expected to shoot through October 30.
Disconnect follows a group of people looking for deep human connections in today’s wired world. It also stars Michael Nyqvist, Frank Grillo, and Colin Ford.
But, in the meantime, Alex is still taking time to meet fans who are stopping by the What Maisie Knew set! Here’s a look at a few of the latest fan photos we’ve received from the set!

I have seen the trailers on Church St near Canal street
Is he definitely going to be in NY through October? (hope so) because I read somewhere that he is filming in The East in Nashville, TN during October and November…any info would be helpful as I am hoping to try next week to hopefully meet him 🙂
There’s a casting call looking for his stand-in for Disconnect and the shoot dates are 9/16 thru 10/31, but there’s no guarantee he will be shooting every day.

They don’t film on weekends and most productions are off on Labor Day, so probably won’t be shooting until Tuesday.

Will there be any filming next monday, September 12? Will Alexander Skarsgard be around. I would like to see him but i think I only have a one day window for the chance to see him since it will be my day off from work.. I’m not sure how this works as this is my first time ever at trying to meet a movie star. But he is my favorite actor. Please let me know. He seems really perfect to meet because he seems to really appreciate his fans. I don’t want to miss the opportunity if I can help it. Much thanks! -isha
