R.I.P.D. spotted filming at Fenway, prepping for shoot on Pleasant St. in Boston

Over the weekend, one fan at Fenway Park in Boston spotted model Marisa Miller and actor James Hong, who will both be appearing in the upcoming movie R.I.P.D., filming a short scene in the ballpark stands. Reportedly, the actors play human vessels whose bodies are taken over by the ghosts of two deceased cop characters played by Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges in the movie.

The report was supported by this video, but it still seems a bit fishy. It would be unlikely that a big-budget film like this one would film a scene in a stadium without having anyone in the crowd sign release forms or without any other paid extras. But, if nothing else, it tells us that the cast and crew are beginning to arrive in Boston and are getting ready to go into production!

In other R.I.P.D. news, Patch.com is reporting “No Parking” signs have been posted along Pleasant Street between Cordis Street and Warren Street, advising residents that between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. from Sept. 2 – Sept. 11 a film crew will be in the neighborhood. You can see a map of the area here.

But, they will only prepping the location during that time, the actual shoot will take place between Sept. 12th and 14th, from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m.

We’ve also heard that Boston Casting has been searching for stand-ins for Ryan Reynolds, Jeff Bridges, and Kevin Bacon for mid-September through October in Boston so it definitely sounds like they are gearing up to begin shooting within the next couple of weeks.
