Gerard Butler brings ‘Machine Gun Preacher’ to the Toronto Film Festival

Gerard Butler hit the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival over the weekend to premiere his new movie, Machine Gun Preacher. Butler also took time to joke around with fans, take photos, and sign autographs for most of the crowd waiting outside the Roy Thomson Hall.

The movie, which was primarily filmed in Michigan, tells the true story of Sam Childers, an ex-con who finds Jesus and goes to Sudan where he opens up an orphanage.

So far, movie is receiving mixed reviews. For instance, THR called the movie, “An impressively heroic true-life story that unfortunately doesn’t go far enough in examining its unusual hero.” You can check out the full article here.
